Carl Hattingh (Callie)

Carl Hattingh is a registered clinical psychologist with 30 years experience working as a clinical psychologist in clinical settings.
He has worked extensively in private practice, as part of the psychiatric team at adult- and child psychiatric units, as well as part of the medical team in hospital settings, managing clients with medical conditions.
He is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), clinical hypnosis and solutions orientated psychotherapeutic approaches.
He is the president of the Australian Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (AICHP) and the Director of the Milton H Erickson Institute of Sydney Australia (EISA) that provides training internationally for mental health and medical professionals in the fields of clinical hypnosis and ego state therapy.
He is a registered Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and has extensive experience working with trauma and trauma related conditions. He is a trained in EMDR and EMI for the treatment of trauma.
Carl’s therapeutic approach is respectful and accepting. He enjoys working creatively with the unique resources of clients to develop individualised solutions to change cognition and experience.

Jeanne Fourie-Hattingh is an APHRA registered psychologist and member of the APS, who has been working in the mental health field for the past 20 years. Besides a Masters degree in Developmental and Child Psychology, she holds a Masters in Early Childhood Intervention, with the focus on collaboration with other medical and allied health disciplines, to best support the emotional and social well being of the developing child.
Jeanne’s experience includes working as a consulting psychologist at a teen psychiatric unit, an adult psychiatric unit, the neurology and children’s wards of a private hospital, a unit for juvenile delinquents and at primary- and high schools. She has done staff training for nursing staff on the emotional well being of patients, as well as staff care for an oncology unit. Her experience in neuropsychological assessment of patients with traumatic brain injuries and cognitive and educational assessments have sparked a special interest in assessment of ADHD, barriers to learning, giftedness, autism spectrum disorders and adaptive behaviour. She also provides supportive therapy for individuals and the families of people living with the above.
Jeanne has published academic, as well as magazine articles on various topics pertaining to mental health. She holds a deep respect for her clients and aims to provide a service considering the individual needs and resources of each person.
